Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-28

Product: AI Chat Exporter browser extension (Chrome / Edge, Manifest V3)

1. Overview

AI Chat Exporter helps you export conversations from supported AI chat websites to local files (PDF, Word, Markdown, and related formats). This policy explains what data is handled and why.

2. Data we process

2.1 Processed on your device (local)

The extension may store locally in browser storage:

Conversation text and images used for an export are read from the AI chat page you already opened and processed in the extension (or in that page context) to build the download file. This data stays on your device unless you clear extension storage or uninstall.

2.2 Permissions-related access (not sold)

To export a chat, the extension may:

We do not use this access to build advertising profiles.

2.3 Network / remote servers

In the current shipped configuration, product backend APIs are disabled. The extension does not register accounts or sync chat history to an AI Chat Exporter server.

When you export, your browser may request resources from third-party sites you already use (the AI product or its CDN). Those requests are subject to those sites’ own policies.

If you use optional Notion export, content is sent to Notion under your Integration’s permissions and Notion’s policies.

3. What we do not collect

4. Children

AI Chat Exporter is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the extension if you are under the age required in your jurisdiction for this type of software.

5. Data retention

Local data remains until you clear it in the extension, clear browser data, or uninstall. Notion retention follows your Notion workspace settings when that feature is used.

6. Your choices

7. Changes

We may update this policy when features change. The “Last updated” date above will change; material changes should also be reflected in the store listing.

8. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy, please use the support options provided on the extension’s Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons listing. You may also replace this page’s contact details with your public support email before hosting.
